Bulldogs Punch Ticket to District Finals with Dominant Win Over Grandview
ELLENSBURG, WAย โ The Ellensburg Bulldogs girls’ basketball team is heading to the District Championship following a commandingย 68-46ย victory over the Grandview Greyhounds in the Central Washington District 5 tournament semifinals on February 16, 2026.
From the opening tip, the Bulldogsโ defense stifled the Greyhounds, holding Grandview to just 11 points in the first half. Ellensburg established a 28-11 lead by halftime and never looked back, putting the game away with a high-scoring second half where they poured in 40 points.
Standish Leads the Charge
Bella Standish (#32) delivered a masterclass performance for the Bulldogs, leading all scorers with 26 points. Standish was clinical from all areas of the floor, knocking down three 3-pointers and going 7-for-8 from the free-throw line.
The Bulldogsโ offensive depth was on full display as two other starters reached double digits:
- Ellie Markus (#1)ย provided a steady presence in the paint, finishing withย 14 pointsย on seven field goals.
- Molly Moffat (#3)ย contributedย 14 pointsย of her own, including a 3-pointer and a perfect 3-for-3 night at the charity stripe.
Grandview was led by Lili Garza (#30), who scored a team-high 23 points, and Jenna Garza (#1), who added 12.
