Joyce, Collins, and Magruder Deliver Dominant Pins in Narrow Loss to Selah

ELLENSBURG, WA — The Ellensburg Girls Wrestling team delivered a series of electric individual performances on Tuesday night, showcasing their finishing power in a razor-thin 39-36 dual meet loss to the Selah Vikings.

While the final team score didn’t go their way, the Bulldogs were unstoppable in the head-to-head matches they won, with Norah Joyce, Lily Collins, and Piper Magruder all securing victories by fall to pace the squad.

Norah Joyce (170 lbs) provided the night’s most spectacular moment. In a display of pure dominance, she flattened her opponent in just 15 seconds, recording the fastest pin of the entire evening.

Lily Collins (105 lbs) was nearly as efficient, igniting the bench early in the dual by pinning Selah’s Monzerratt Ramos in a blistering 43 seconds.

In the middle weights, Piper Magruder (135 lbs) battled for a crucial victory, turning her opponent for a pin at the 2:20 mark to keep the Bulldogs within striking distance. Keetin Daugherty (120 lbs) also played a vital role, securing maximum team points to anchor the lower weights for Ellensburg.

Despite the loss, the Bulldogs showed that when they get their hand raised, they do it with maximum points.
